History
Guidelines for opening and closing study programs refer to the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Number 108 / DIKTI / Kep / 2001 concerning Guidelines for Opening Study Programs and / or Departments Based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education Number 234 / U / 2000 concerning the Establishment of Higher Education. The decision of the ITK Senate regarding the opening of new study programs to meet the needs of experts in the field of technology and in an effort to develop the Itk Education Tri Dharma, especially in the field of education, it is considered necessary to open new study programs. The results of the ITK Senate on January 26, 2017 decided and determined the opening of a new study program, namely the Ocean Engineering study program.
Based on the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 338 / KPT / I / 2017 decided on the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia concerning permission to open the Undergraduate Marine Engineering Study Program at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology in Balikpapan.
Vision
To become a Study Program that has advantages for the development of regional resources and potential in the development of Kalimantan and Indonesia in the field of Ocean Engineering in 2025
Mission
1. Implement educational programs that are oriented towards the needs and advancement of science in marine engineering disciplines to produce superior graduates.
2. Carrying out research to develop science and technology in the field of Marine Engineering in the development of resources and potential of the Kalimantan region and utilizing the results of researchn in community service activities.
3. Develop cooperation with national and international agencies based on marine technology.
4. Carry out credible, transparent, accountable, responsible and fair study program management.
