Balikpapan – Kalimantan Institute of Technology on (Monday, 17/01/2022) held a workshop on writing community service proposals. This activity is an effort to improve the ability of the ITK academic community. Moreover, community service is one of the Tri Dharmas of higher education, according to article 20 paragraph (2) of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System: PT is obliged to organize the Tridharma of Higher Education. In addition, article 60 letter a Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and lecturers are obliged to carry out professional duties, lecturers are obliged to carry out the tridharma.

Tridharma cannot be separated one by one but becomes a common unity. The meaning of community service itself becomes a good that will have an impact on the community and will become a product to be able to educate the younger generation and the community in it. With participation in development as an effort to solve community problems and application in teaching and learning and guidance. This form is a tangible form of experience in science and technology for the community.

The hope of the current service is that the community as a partner in development and a sustainable synergy between programs. Of course, with the existence of investment funds that will make long-term and sustainable activities. In community service, a combination of strategic science and technology innovations empowers and glorifies the community as a form of role in optimizing the Tridharma of Higher Education.
