Hanoi, Vietnam (November 11, 2025) – Rector of the Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., joined the Delegation of the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI) in the Overseas Strategic Study (SSLN) of the Regular Education Program for Batch XXVI (PPRA XXVI) 2025 held in Vietnam.

The 31-member delegation comprises representatives from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), academia, government institutions, and Lemhannas RI.

This activity marks a significant part of Lemhannas RI’s agenda to strengthen strategic networks between nations in the fields of education, innovation, and human resource development. During the official meeting with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of Vietnam, Prof. Agus Rubiyanto served as Head of Delegation and Moderator, representing Indonesia before high-ranking Vietnamese officials.

In his remarks, Prof. Agus expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality of the host institution and emphasized the importance of bilateral collaboration between Indonesia and Vietnam in enhancing national resilience through the synergy of knowledge and education.

“It is a profound honor for the Delegation of the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia to be hosted by your respected institution,” said Prof. Agus. “Our foremost intention for this visit is to learn and gain insights from Viet Nam’s remarkable success in fostering excellence in education and human resource development.”

The Lemhannas RI delegation’s visit included a series of strategic agendas, such as visits to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Hanoi, the Vietnam National Innovation Centre (VNIC), FPT University, and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMNAP).
 Each session was filled with academic discussions, policy exchanges, and the presentation of souvenirs as symbols of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

Under the leadership of Prof. Agus Rubiyanto, the Indonesian delegation demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing educational diplomacy and global knowledge exchange. The ITK Rector is recognized as a visionary academic leader who actively promotes international collaboration to advance higher education in Eastern Indonesia.

“Education is the bridge of resilience,” said Prof. Agus. “Through mutual understanding, Indonesia and Vietnam can build a stronger and sustainable future together.”

Governor of Lemhannas RI, Dr. H. T.B. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., who was also present during the program, commended Prof. Agus’s leadership throughout the visit. He noted that the active involvement of academia in international strategic forums reflects a robust integration between the educational sector and national policy development.

The SSLN program is expected to strengthen diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Vietnam, while opening new opportunities for concrete collaboration in research, higher education, and sustainable technology development. The leadership of Prof. Agus Rubiyanto in this mission symbolizes Indonesia’s academic readiness to play a proactive role on the global stage bringing forth the spirit of smart diplomacy and intellectual resilience to build a strong, competitive, and globally connected Indonesia.
