Balikpapan - The Healthy Community Movement (GERMAS) activity for Administrative Staff of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) was organized as an early year momentum to foster a spirit of togetherness while promoting a healthy lifestyle in the workplace. The event featured a variety of interactive activities that not only emphasized wellness but also strengthened collaboration across units.

Several team-based games formed the core of the program, including ball passing, a selfie challenge, and a balloon train activity, all of which were enthusiastically joined by participants. In the ball-passing game, each team was required to pass the ball from one member to another while facing forward without turning around. This challenge trained coordination, communication, and teamwork to ensure the ball could be smoothly transferred to the last member.

In the selfie challenge, participants observed a sample photo and recreated the pose together with their teammates. This activity encouraged creativity while fostering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere through team interaction.

The balloon train game added further excitement, as participants collaborated to move balloons in turns while forming a train-like formation toward the finish point. This task required movement coordination, attentiveness, and teamwork to keep the balloons intact until reaching the final line.

Beyond physical activities, the committee also provided door prizes and knowledge quizzes throughout the event to enhance engagement. Another highlight was the inter-unit potluck, where each unit competed to creatively decorate and present light snacks.

On this occasion, first place was awarded to the combined team of the Public Relations, Integrated Service Unit (ULT), and Academic units, which presented an appealing arrangement of fresh fruits and sweet treats.

Through this series of activities, the event not only promoted health awareness but also strengthened the sense of unity, collaboration, and connection among units within ITK. It is hoped that this positive spirit will continue to grow and that GERMAS will become an increasingly vibrant annual tradition, reinforcing synergy among administrative staff.
