Balikpapan - Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), through the ITK Electrochemistry Research Group, will hold BINTANG Dissemination 2026 with support from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

Carrying the theme “Biomass for Sustainable Battery Innovation for Future Generations,” the program consists of three main activities: BINTANG School Road Show, BINTANG Discovery Day, and BINTANG Innovation Expo.

The BINTANG School Road Show will provide education and workshops on biomass-based battery technology at three elementary schools and three junior high schools, involving around 600 participants. Meanwhile, BINTANG Discovery Day will feature educational sessions, an environmentally friendly battery assembly workshop, and 11 MoU/Cooperation Agreement signings with partners, with a target of 1,000 participants.

The program will also feature the BINTANG Innovation Expo, showcasing around 30 energy innovations and 15 local MSMEs supported by the ITK Technology Business Incubator (IBT ITK).

Overall, BINTANG Dissemination 2026 is expected to involve around 1,600 participants, including students, university students, academics, industry representatives, government officials, and the general public.

The main event will take place on September 8, 2026, at Institut Teknologi Kalimantan. The event is free and open to the public.
