Balikpapan, 21 August 2025 - The Faculty of Information Technology and Science (FSTI) at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) successfully held a Workshop on the Application of Good Governance Strategies in Technology Management and Administration on Thursday, August 21, 2025. The event was attended by the academic community, demonstrating FSTI's commitment as a Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) to improving the quality of its administration.
The event was opened with remarks from the Dean of FSTI. In his speech, he emphasized that the application of Good Governance principles is a crucial foundation for managing the faculty and its study programs. " Good Governance must become a part of the culture in higher education administration so that the institution's quality and credibility can be maintained," he stated. He also praised the participants' enthusiasm, which he considered a sign of their shared commitment to improving academic quality.
Following the speech, a significant moment occurred with the IA signing between FSTI ITK and the speaker, Dr. Dra. Kartika Fithriasari, M.Si., from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). This signing symbolized a strategic partnership to strengthen academic administration and support the development of technology management at ITK.
Through this workshop, FSTI hopes that the principles of Good Governance will not remain theoretical but will be practically implemented in the management and administration of study programs. The goal is to create a positive impact on the academic community and society at large.
