Balikpapan, 25 August 2025 – The Faculty of Information Technology and Science (FSTI) at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) has made history with the launch of the first class for its Master of Technology Management (MMT) Study Program on Monday, August 25, 2025. This marks a strategic step for FSTI in meeting the demand for competent human resources in the field of technology management.
The inauguration event was opened by Irma Fitria, S.Si., M.Si., Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at FSTI. In her speech, she expressed her appreciation and hope that the MMT program will become a strategic platform for producing outstanding individuals capable of meeting the needs of both industry and academia.
Following this, Bima Prihasto, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Coordinator of the MMT Study Program, emphasized the importance of synergy between theory and practice in the curriculum. This synergy is designed to ensure that graduates are not only academically competent but also relevant to evolving global challenges.
A historic moment took place to officially mark the start of classes with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of the MMT classroom. The ceremony was witnessed by the FSTI academic community and symbolized the beginning of a new journey for the program in making a real contribution to the development of science, technology, and management.
With the launch of this first class, FSTI ITK is optimistic that the Master of Technology Management Study Program will become a leading program that strengthens ITK's position in producing highly competitive graduates at both the national and international levels.
