Balikpapan, October 6, 2024 – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) today celebrated its 10th Anniversary through an open senate meeting titled “A Decade Living in the Neo Moment.” The event, held at the Integrated Laboratory Auditorium 1, marked a decade of ITK’s contributions to education and research in Indonesia.
The celebration commenced with a performance of the Enggang Dance, a traditional Kalimantan dance that showcases the beauty of local culture while emphasizing ITK's spirit of creativity amidst cultural diversity. The senate meeting was led by ITK’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., and attended by faculty members, administrative staff, students, and invited guests.
Among the attendees were former leaders of ITK, including the first Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sulistijono, DEA, who delivered a keynote speech. In his address, Prof. Sulistijono expressed hopes for ITK to continue prioritizing innovation in technology and research for the advancement of the nation.
A significant moment during the event was the launch of the book “1 Dekade ITK,” which chronicles ITK’s journey and achievements over the past decade. Additionally, ITK unveiled its new logo, expected to symbolize the spirit and identity of the institution in the years to come.
As a gesture of appreciation, ITK awarded outstanding employees and individuals who have significantly contributed to the institution's development. These awards represent ITK’s gratitude for their dedication in supporting the progress of the campus.
The 10th Anniversary celebration served as a moment of reflection for ITK, not only to commemorate its achievements but also to strategize for continued growth and adaptation in this modern era.
