Balikpapan — Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) held the LPDP Scholarship Phase 2 Socialization 2026 on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the 3rd Floor Auditorium, Building A, ITK. During the socialization session, LPDP introduced several scholarship schemes available in Phase 2 of 2026, including the Strategic Industrial STEM Scholarship, SHARE Scholarship, Acceleration, Double Degree, and Joint Degree Scholarships, Special Cooperation Scholarships, and Non-Degree Scholarships. The 2026 LPDP Scholarship scheme is directed toward developing excellent talents who are able to contribute to national development, including in the sectors of food, energy, defense, digitalization, health, downstreaming, maritime affairs, manufacturing, advanced materials, entrepreneurship, and creative industries.

In addition to discussing the scholarship schemes, participants also received information on LPDP funding components. The scholarship support includes education funds, such as registration fees, tuition fees, book allowances, thesis or dissertation research assistance, international seminar assistance, and international journal publication assistance. It also includes supporting funds, such as transportation, visa or residence permit applications, health insurance, monthly living allowance, arrival allowance, family allowance for certain programs, and emergency funds.

For Phase 2 of 2026, LPDP Scholarship registration is open from June 30 to July 31, 2026. The selection process will continue with administrative selection from August 3 to 27, 2026, announcement of administrative selection results on August 28, 2026, Scholastic Aptitude Selection from September 27 to October 4, 2026, substance selection from October 14 to November 20, 2026, and announcement of substance selection results on November 30, 2026. The study period is scheduled to begin in January 2027.

Through this socialization, ITK hopes that participants can better understand the strategies needed to prepare for the selection process, including choosing study programs, preparing documents, improving language proficiency, and developing a clear contribution plan. The event also reflects ITK’s commitment to expanding access to further study information for its academic community and the people of East Kalimantan.

With this activity, ITK continues to strengthen its role as a higher education institution that not only focuses on academic learning, but also encourages the growth of impactful talents. Through the opportunities provided by the LPDP Scholarship, young generations are expected to pursue higher education and return with meaningful contributions for the region, the nation, and Indonesia.
