Balikpapan  -  Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) participated in the 2026 SMA Nasional KPS Balikpapan EduFair as part of its effort to expand access to higher education information for students preparing to continue their studies after graduating from high school.

ITK was represented by Saputro Dewo and M. Nurhidayatur Rozikin, staff members of the ITK Public Relations and Protocol Team. During the event, they provided visitors with direct information about ITK, available study programs, student admission pathways, and various educational opportunities that prospective students may consider.

The EduFair served as a platform for students to explore a wide range of higher education options and gather references before deciding on a university and field of study that best match their interests, abilities, and future plans. ITK’s participation also provided an opportunity to introduce a state university specializing in science and technology in East Kalimantan to a broader student audience.

At the ITK booth, students were able to engage in discussions and obtain information about available study programs, academic disciplines, campus life, and future opportunities after graduation.

Direct interaction with university representatives is expected to help students gain a clearer understanding of their study options. This is increasingly important as academic programs and disciplines continue to diversify in line with developments in science, technology, engineering, planning, business, and future industry needs.

ITK’s participation in the SMA Nasional KPS EduFair also reflects its commitment to bringing the university closer to prospective students. Beyond introducing the institution itself, the event provided an opportunity for ITK to help students better understand the characteristics of different academic fields so they can make informed decisions based on their individual interests and potential.

ITK’s presence at the event also highlighted that East Kalimantan is home to a state university that can serve as a higher education option for young people, particularly those interested in science, technology, and other disciplines relevant to future development.

Through its participation in the EduFair, ITK hopes that information about higher education will become increasingly accessible to students. By gaining exposure to university options at an early stage, students are expected to plan their educational pathways more carefully and choose study programs that align with their interests, potential, and future aspirations.
