Jakarta, December 15, 2025 — Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) once again reaffirmed its commitment to public information transparency by receiving the Informative Public Body predicate at the 2025 Public Information Openness Award, organized by the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was held at Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta, on Monday (15/12).
The award was received directly by the Rector of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan, Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., accompanied by the Head of the Academic and General Affairs Bureau and the Chair of the ITK Public Relations and Protocol Team.
Based on the Decree of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11/KEP/KIP/XII/2025 on the Results of Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Openness 2025, ITK achieved a final score of 96.67, ranking 18th out of 50 State Universities that obtained the Informative qualification.
Rector of ITK, Prof. Agus Rubiyanto, stated that this achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the entire ITK academic community in building an information governance system that is transparent, accountable, and oriented toward public service.
“This Informative predicate is not merely an administrative award, but also a reminder and a commitment for ITK to continuously improve the quality of public information services that are open, easily accessible, and responsible,” said Prof. Agus.
The 2025 Public Information Openness Award marks the culmination of a series of Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities conducted by the Central Information Commission on public bodies across Indonesia, based on the principles of transparency, accountability, objectivity, and sustainability as mandated by Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Openness. The award ceremony was attended by leaders of ministries, state institutions, regional governments, state-owned enterprises, and public universities, and was officially opened by the Chairman of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Donny Yusgiantoro.
This achievement adds to ITK’s growing list of accomplishments in institutional governance and public service delivery, while further strengthening its position as a state university that consistently upholds the principles of information transparency as part of good university governance. Going forward, ITK is committed to strengthening the role of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) and enhancing the quality of public information content and communication channels to fulfill the public’s right to transparent and reliable information.
