Balikpapan – Recognizing personal interests and choosing a study program are important steps in preparing for higher education. To broaden their understanding, students from MA Raadhiyatan Mardhiyyah Putra Balikpapan visited Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) for a campus introduction and laboratory tour.

The students were welcomed by Saputro Dewo and Ulfa from ITK’s Public Relations team. The visit provided an opportunity to explore study options and see the university’s learning environment firsthand.

During the campus introduction, students learned about ITK and the various academic disciplines available. The session helped them understand how their interests and abilities could connect with the study programs they might pursue after graduation.

Each study program has its own focus and learning characteristics. Exploring these differences early can help students identify fields that interest them and prepare for further study.

The visit continued with a tour of ITK’s laboratory facilities, where students gained a closer look at the environments that support practical learning and student research.

The laboratory tour illustrated how university education involves observation, testing, and hands-on activities alongside theoretical learning. This experience helped students imagine how science and technology are studied and developed throughout university life.

Seeing the campus firsthand gave students a clearer picture of academic life before making decisions about their education. Study programs they may previously have known only by name became more tangible through introductions to their disciplines and learning facilities.

Through this educational visit, ITK supported broader access to higher education information for school students.
