Balikpapan - Five staff members of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) officially assumed new responsibilities after taking part in an inauguration and oath-taking ceremony on Monday, August 3, 2026. Held in Room D104 of Building D at the ITK Campus, the ceremony was led by ITK Rector Prof. Dr. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc.

The five appointees comprised one Head of General Affairs, one prospective Assistant Professor, one prospective Skilled Human Resources Officer, one prospective Skilled Educational Laboratory Technician, and one prospective Skilled Computer Systems Administrator.

The ceremony began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, followed by the reading of the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. The staff members then took their official oath, administered by the Rector and witnessed by religious officials.

The oath-taking ceremony was followed by the signing of the official inauguration records by the appointees and witnesses. The procession marked the beginning of their new responsibilities and commitment to carrying out their duties with professionalism, integrity, and a strong dedication to public service.

In his official inauguration statement, the Rector formally appointed the staff members to their respective positions and expressed his hope that they would always be granted strength in fulfilling their responsibilities.

“May Allah the Almighty/God Almighty always grant you strength as you carry out your duties,” said the Rector.

The inauguration forms part of ITK’s commitment to strengthening its human resources and institutional governance. The newly appointed staff members are expected to further enhance academic services, administration, information technology, and laboratory operations across the university.

The ceremony concluded with a prayer and congratulatory remarks from the Rector, Vice Rectors, and invited guests.
