BALIKPAPAN – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), through its Technology Business Incubator (IBT), is strengthening entrepreneurship development for students and business partners through an intensive Campuspreneur training program in collaboration with the Center for Human Resources Training in Metrology, Quality, and Trade Services (BPMJP) of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. The program is being held from September 22–24, 2026, at Room A214, Building A, ITK.

Carrying the theme “Commercial Strategies for Processed Food Products,” the training is attended by students, business partners, and invited guests. The program is designed not only to improve participants’ ability to market their products, but also to strengthen their business readiness in areas such as business pitching, compliance, legality, and product presentation before entering broader markets.

On the first day, Tuesday (September 22, 2026), participants joined a Pitching Assistance session. This activity was designed to help them present business ideas in a more structured, convincing, and accessible manner to potential partners and consumers. Strong pitching skills are an important part of communicating a product’s value proposition and opening new business opportunities.

The program continued on Wednesday (September 23, 2026) with assistance on BDKT (Net Quantity of Packaged Goods) and Halal Certification applications. The BDKT session provided participants with an understanding of legal metrology requirements for packaged products, helping ensure that quantity information presented to consumers complies with applicable standards. At the same time, halal certification support was provided as an important step in strengthening consumer confidence in food products.

The series of activities concludes on Thursday (September 24, 2026) with Packaging Redesign Assistance. Through this session, participants are encouraged to view packaging not merely as product protection, but also as an important part of brand identity and marketing communication. Effective packaging is expected to improve visual appeal while strengthening product competitiveness in the marketplace.

The collaboration between ITK’s IBT and BPMJP of the Ministry of Trade reflects an effort to build a more comprehensive business incubation process. Entrepreneurs are not only equipped with production capabilities, but are also guided to understand the standards and requirements that must be fulfilled before their products are commercialized on a wider scale.

Through this integrated mentoring program, tenants and young entrepreneurs are expected to become better prepared to improve product quality, meet legal and standardization requirements, strengthen brand identity, and develop more effective commercialization strategies.

The Campuspreneur program also provides a platform for students and business partners to connect innovation with market needs. Through continuous mentoring, products developed within the campus entrepreneurship ecosystem are expected to move beyond the production stage and become more competitive, market-ready, and capable of reaching national markets.
