Samarinda, September 10-11, 2026 — Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) officially commenced the main agenda of the ITK 2026 Work Meeting (Raker) on Thursday (10/9) at 1:30 p.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA). The activity continued the series of training sessions conducted from Wednesday (9/9) through Thursday morning.

The ITK 2026 Work Meeting carries the theme “Transforming Governance and Leadership to Strengthen Adaptive, Accountable, and Sustainable ITK Development.” The agenda began with an opening by the master of ceremonies, followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya and the ITK Mars, remarks from the Rector of ITK, a prayer, and the opening of the session by the moderator.

On the first day, participants received a presentation from the National Institute of Public Administration (LAN) entitled “Adaptive Leadership and Organizational Transformation in Supporting Sustainable Higher Education Development.” The session discussed the importance of adaptive leadership and organizational transformation in responding to the dynamics and evolving demands of higher education development.

The discussion continued with a presentation from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government entitled “Synergy between Local Government and Higher Education Institutions in Supporting the Development and Advancement of the Institut Teknologi Kalimantan.” The presentation included materials from the Bureau of People's Welfare of East Kalimantan Province and the Bureau of Government and Regional Autonomy, highlighting the role of local government and the importance of synergy in supporting ITK’s development.

Following the presentations from the two external speakers, the agenda continued with a question-and-answer and discussion session. The first day then proceeded with presentations on the achievements and programs carried out by ITK’s leadership. The presentations were delivered sequentially by the Rector of ITK, Vice Rector I, Vice Rector II, and Head of the Bureau of Academic and General Affairs.

This session served as an important part of the Work Meeting by providing an overview of institutional achievements, program implementation, and developments across various areas within ITK. The presentations also served as material for evaluation and as a basis for discussing the institution’s future development direction.

The ITK 2026 Work Meeting continued on Friday (11/9) with a presentation from the Regional Office (Kanwil) entitled “Strengthening Performance-Based Planning and Budgeting to Support ITK Development and the Achievement of Strategic Goals.” The session emphasized the importance of aligning planning, budgeting, performance, and the achievement of the institution’s strategic objectives.

Participants then received a presentation from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) entitled “Strengthening Governance, Risk Management, and Internal Control to Support Accountable ITK Development.” The session formed part of the institution’s efforts to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control systems to ensure that ITK’s development is implemented effectively and accountably.

Following the sessions with external speakers, the agenda continued with presentations from ITK’s unit leaders. The presentations covered reports and developments from the leaders of each faculty, institutional leaders, heads of Academic Support Units (UPA), the PPKPT Task Force, and the Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI).

Through the two-day series of activities, the ITK 2026 Work Meeting served as a forum to evaluate achievements, align institutional planning, and strengthen coordination among units in supporting ITK’s development. Discussions involving external speakers and representatives from all levels of ITK leadership are expected to contribute to policies and strategic measures that further strengthen the institution’s development in an adaptive, accountable, and sustainable manner.
