NUSANTARA – Rector of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), Prof. Dr. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., attended a public lecture hosted by Universitas Gunadarma and the signing of a joint commitment to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education in the field of medicine between Universitas Gunadarma, the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia, and the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN).

The event was held at Universitas Gunadarma’s Nusantara Campus 1 in the Nusantara Capital City on Monday, September 28, 2026. The ITK Rector’s attendance demonstrated the university’s support for strengthening the higher education ecosystem, fostering interinstitutional collaboration, and developing human resources in Nusantara.

The event began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, “Indonesia Raya,” followed by a prayer. Rector of Universitas Gunadarma, Prof. Dr. E.S. Margianti, S.E., M.M., then delivered her remarks and officially opened the event. She joined the event virtually from the fifth floor of Building F at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gunadarma.

The event was attended in person by Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority Basuki Hadimuljono, the leadership of Universitas Gunadarma, Rector of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan Prof. Dr. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., and members of the academic community from various universities across Indonesia.

On the occasion, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. dr. Anna Rozaliyani, M.Biomed., Sp.P(K), delivered remarks highlighting the importance of strengthening collaboration in medical education. Cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia and Universitas Gunadarma is expected to enhance education, research, and community service, particularly in supporting healthcare needs and human resource development in Nusantara.

Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority Basuki Hadimuljono then delivered his remarks and officially opened the main proceedings. In his address, he commended Universitas Gunadarma students for their achievements and participation in the 2026 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI), which had been held in Nusantara several days earlier.

He also provided updates on the progress of Nusantara’s development. Higher education institutions are expected to play an important role in supporting the development of the new capital through science, technology, research, innovation, and human resource capacity building.

The main agenda continued with the signing of a joint commitment between Universitas Gunadarma, the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia, and the Nusantara Capital Authority to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education in the field of medicine. The commitment represents a step toward strengthening collaboration in education, research, community service, and the development of healthcare services in Nusantara.

This collaboration is also expected to serve as a foundation for academic programs and joint initiatives capable of addressing community needs. Through the involvement of higher education institutions and the Nusantara Capital Authority, the development of medical education and services in Nusantara is expected to progress sustainably and provide tangible benefits to the community.

On the same occasion, five students from the 2026 cohort were formally recognized as scholarship recipients of the Nusantara Capital Authority. The scholarships were presented directly by the Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority as a form of support for expanding access to education and developing young talent in Nusantara.

The event then continued with a public lecture moderated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Adang Suhendra, S.Si., S.Kom., M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology at Universitas Gunadarma. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Agung Indrajit, S.T., M.Sc., Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation at the Nusantara Capital Authority.

The public lecture provided a forum for sharing knowledge and insights on the development of the Nusantara Capital City, including the importance of technology, digital transformation, education, and cross-sector collaboration. Students and members of the academic community are expected to actively contribute innovations that address the needs of Nusantara’s development.

The ITK Rector’s participation in the event reaffirmed Institut Teknologi Kalimantan’s commitment to strengthening higher education networks in Kalimantan and the Nusantara Capital City. ITK also continues to encourage interinstitutional cooperation that supports the advancement of education, research, technology, and community service.

Through collaboration between higher education institutions and the Nusantara Capital Authority, the event is expected to lead to relevant, innovative, and sustainable programs. Such synergy is also expected to contribute meaningfully to human resource development, healthcare advancement, and the broader development of Nusantara and Indonesia.
