Balikpapan - The Computer-Based Written Examination for the National Selection Test (UTBK-SNBT) 2026 at Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) officially concluded on Sunday (April 26), with the entire series of activities running smoothly, orderly, and in a conducive environment.

Over the six-day implementation, a total of 4,745 participants took part in the examination, which was conducted across 12 sessions and 11 examination rooms. ITK ensured comprehensive readiness, covering facilities, examination systems, as well as health services and inclusive support for all participants.

Medical teams were on standby during every session to anticipate various conditions. One case involved a participant with a history of rhinitis who experienced symptoms such as fever and dizziness. Based on medical assessment, the condition was well managed, allowing the participant to complete the exam under special supervision.

In addition, a participant with a contagious condition (chickenpox) required special handling. To ensure safety and comfort for all, the committee provided a separate examination room, enabling the participant to continue the exam without disrupting others, under proper supervision.

ITK also ensured that the UTBK was conducted inclusively. Deaf participants were able to take part effectively through assistance and technical support, including adjustments in delivering instructions and exam procedures to ensure clear understanding.

As part of preventive measures, the medical team provided basic supplies such as sterile gauze and conducted direct monitoring around examination rooms. The administration of certain medications was carefully considered to avoid side effects that could interfere with participants’ concentration.

These efforts reflect ITK’s commitment to delivering a UTBK implementation that is not only technically smooth but also prioritizes health, safety, and accessibility for all participants.

With the conclusion of UTBK-SNBT 2026, ITK reaffirms its role as a UTBK center in East Kalimantan capable of organizing examinations in a professional, adaptive, inclusive, and nationally standardized manner.
