Surakarta - Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) continues to strengthen its commitment to developing globally competitive student entrepreneurship. This effort was reflected in ITK’s participation in the strategic launch of the “Campuspreneur: Development of Export-Oriented Young Entrepreneurs” program, organized by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia on 1–2 April 2026 at the Auditorium of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta, Central Java.
This activity marked an important step in opening wider opportunities for students and campus-supported business tenants to access international markets. During the event, ITK also took part in the signing session of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the Development of Export-Oriented Young Entrepreneurs between ITK and the Ministry of Trade.
The signing ceremony was attended directly by ITK Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Erma Suryani, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. ITK’s presence in this agreement signing serves as an initial milestone for the implementation of the Campuspreneur Program within the university, while also reinforcing the direction of student entrepreneurship development that is not only locally oriented, but also aimed at penetrating export markets.
Also accompanying the delegation was the Head of the ITK Business Technology Incubator Center (IBT), Muh. Ikhsan Alif S., S.E., M.Sc. During the two-day program, ITK also participated in a series of coaching clinics discussing various aspects of business strengthening, including product standardization, branding, packaging, and digital licensing.
In addition, ITK established direct coordination with modern retail partners such as APRINDO and HIPPINDO as part of efforts to expand distribution channels for campus-assisted MSME products. This activity was seen as a strategic opportunity to connect student tenants with a broader and more growth-ready business ecosystem.
Responding to this strategic move, Muh. Ikhsan Alif S. expressed optimism about the future of the entrepreneurial ecosystem at ITK.
“With the signing of the cooperation agreement by the Vice Rector together with the Ministry of Trade, ITK now has a more open pathway toward the global market. For IBT tenants, this means that students not only receive mentoring within the campus, but also gain access to business matching with overseas trade representatives, as well as product curation support to compete at the international level,” he said.
Through this synergy with the Ministry of Trade, ITK hopes that business incubation and entrepreneurship programs within the university environment can grow in a more massive, focused, and impactful way. The presence of this export-oriented program is expected to encourage students to create innovative products that are not only strong in the domestic market, but are also ready to move up as part of Indonesia’s leading export commodities.
ITK’s participation in this program also reaffirms the university’s commitment to supporting the emergence of a young generation of entrepreneurs who are adaptive, innovative, and ready to compete globally, in line with the spirit of building an impactful campus from the heart of the archipelago.
