Bandung - The Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), represented by the Public Relations staff M. Nurhidayatur Rozikin, took part in the Fuel Your Potential #FYP National Seminar and Workshop organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) in collaboration with TikTok Indonesia on Thursday (December 4, 2025) at Sabuga ITB. Carrying the theme “Civitas Academica as Science Communicators in the Digital Era,” the event served as a national platform for universities to strengthen digital literacy, scientific dissemination, and the ecosystem of STEM-based educational content.
ITK’s participation particularly through its Public Relations representative marks a strategic step in supporting the Diktisaintek Berdampak mission, a national movement aimed at presenting science and technology that are relevant, inclusive, and beneficial to the wider public. As the front line of institutional public communication, ITK’s Public Relations division plays a crucial role in translating research outputs, innovations, and academic achievements into accessible content that can be effectively disseminated through digital platforms.
The national forum also enhanced ITK’s digital communication capacity through insights on educational persuasion, concise yet credible content creation, the use of mass psychology, and strategies for presenting scientific ideas attractively highlighted in the session on “The Posture of Popular Culture.” These insights are highly relevant for institutions seeking to build a strong and communicative academic image.
The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Eng. Yudi Darma and featured strategic directives from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, who emphasized the importance of academic presence in digital spaces. The government underscored that universities must become key producers of high quality, safe, credible, and beneficial content, ensuring that the public can learn directly from reliable scientific sources.
