Balikpapan - Good news for students of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK). PT Pertamina (Persero), through Pertamina Foundation, has reopened the Pertamina Sobat Bumi Afirmasi Scholarship Program 2026 for ITK students from the 2023 to 2025 cohorts who are not currently receiving any scholarship from other parties.

This scholarship program provides a strategic opportunity for students not only to receive educational support, but also to develop awareness of social, environmental, and sustainable energy issues. The Pertamina Sobat Bumi Afirmasi Scholarship is intended for active students with strong academic commitment, social awareness, and a passion for contributing to environmental sustainability. One of the main requirements is that applicants must have a minimum Semester Grade Point Average (IPS) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (IPK) of 3.00, must not be receiving any other scholarship, and must be active in organizational, social, environmental, or energy-related activities.

In addition to administrative documents, applicants are also required to prepare a motivation letter and a written essay with the theme “My Real Action to Spread Positive Energy for a Sustainable Earth.” Through this theme, students are encouraged to express their ideas, experiences, and concrete actions in supporting environmental sustainability and better energy utilization.

Several documents need to be prepared, including proof of parents’ or guardians’ income, a motivation letter, academic transcripts from the first semester to the most recent semester, a statement letter confirming that the applicant is not receiving any scholarship, TOEFL or IELTS certificates if available, the written essay, certificates of organizational or social activity involvement, and certificates of competitions or achievements from 2020 to the present.
