ITK Holds an Audience with the Governor of East Kalimantan to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation and Campus Infrastructure Development Support

Samarinda – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) held an audience with the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan at the East Kalimantan Governor’s Office. The meeting was received directly by the Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr. H. Rudy Mas’ud, S.E., M.E.

This audience served as a coordination forum between ITK and the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan to discuss the strengthening of strategic cooperation, particularly in relation to higher education development, support for campus infrastructure development, and the optimization of ITK’s land utilization. The meeting also discussed opportunities to establish a new memorandum of understanding or cooperation agreement between ITK and the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan.

During the meeting, ITK conveyed several campus development needs, including infrastructure support, campus access roads, main utility networks, and the strengthening of supporting facilities for academic activities. These developments are considered important to support ITK’s role as a technology-based public university that contributes to human resource development and the strengthening of the higher education ecosystem in East Kalimantan.

From ITK, the audience was attended by Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs Ir. Khakim Ghozali, M.MT.; Head of the Bureau of Academic and General Affairs Yuspian, S.Sos., M.I.R.; Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology Adi Mahmud Jaya Marindra, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D.; Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Engineering Andi Idhil Ismail, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Dean of the Faculty of Sustainable Development Ir. Alamsyah, S.T., M.T.; and Muhammad Zulfikhar, S.E.

Through this audience, ITK hopes that its synergy with the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan can continue to be strengthened, particularly in supporting the improvement of educational services, the development of campus facilities, and the expansion of ITK’s contribution to regional development. Collaboration between higher education institutions and local governments is considered an important step in delivering higher education that is relevant to the development needs of East Kalimantan.

The Governor of East Kalimantan welcomed the audience as part of efforts to strengthen communication and cooperation between the regional government and higher education institutions. Support for higher education development is expected to encourage the emergence of excellent, innovative human resources who are ready to contribute to the advancement of East Kalimantan.

This meeting marked an important momentum for ITK to strengthen its role as a technology campus in East Kalimantan and as a strategic partner of the regional government in supporting development, innovation, and human resource advancement in the buffer region of Nusantara Capital City.
