BALIKPAPAN, 19 December 2025 – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) successfully concluded the celebration of its 11th Anniversary through the ITK People Concert x ITK Food Fest, which was held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the BSCC Dome Balikpapan. The event served as a moment of togetherness between the ITK academic community and the public, while also marking the peak of this year’s anniversary celebrations.

The ITK People Concert was enlivened by performances from national guest stars Rony Parulian and J-Rocks, who successfully energized thousands of attendees throughout the evening. The event was also accompanied by the ITK Food Fest, featuring various culinary tenants that added to the festive atmosphere while providing a platform for local businesses and creative communities.

The Rector of ITK, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., stated that the ITK People Concert symbolized togetherness and the collective spirit of the ITK community. “The anniversary celebration is not only a moment to reflect on our institutional journey, but also an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the university and the wider community,” he said.

The event began in the afternoon with gate opening and audience registration, followed by the official opening featuring a video highlighting the journey of ITK’s anniversary celebrations. The program continued with the singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya, remarks from the Chairperson of the 11th Anniversary Committee, and a welcoming address by the Rector of ITK.

In addition to national performers, the ITK People Concert also provided a stage for local talents and creative achievements. Several performances by winners of competitions held as part of the ITK anniversary celebrations enlivened the stage, including traditional dance, band competition, and modern dance performance winners. A performance by local band Teras Kaca further warmed up the audience before the main guest stars took the stage.

As the evening progressed, the performance by Rony Parulian as the first guest star was met with great enthusiasm through his popular songs. The peak of the event was marked by the appearance of J-Rocks, who invited the audience to sing along and enjoy the final moments of the celebration together.

Through the organization of the ITK People Concert x ITK Food Fest, ITK reaffirmed its commitment to hosting inclusive and creative anniversary celebrations that strengthen engagement between the academic community and society. With the conclusion of this event, the series of activities commemorating the 11th Anniversary of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan officially came to a close with a spirit of unity, enthusiasm, and optimism for the future.
