ITK Receives Audience Visit from SMAN 1 Penajam Paser Utara to Discuss Study Information and Collaboration Opportunities

Balikpapan - Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) continues to foster educational collaboration by welcoming an audience visit from SMAN 1 Penajam Paser Utara (PPU). The meeting served as an important opportunity to strengthen ties between secondary and higher education institutions while broadening students’ perspectives on higher education and future career pathways.

The SMAN 1 PPU delegation, consisting of eight school representatives, attended the visit to engage in discussion and information exchange. The group was received by Yuspian, S.Sos., M.I.R., Head of the Academic and General Affairs Bureau; Ike Wayan Norma Yunita, S.Pd., Acting Head of the Academic Division; and Nabila Khaerunnisa, S.Kom., Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Working Team.

During the constructive dialogue, both parties discussed various aspects related to students’ readiness for pursuing higher education. Topics included an overview of national admission pathways, the importance of understanding diverse study programs, and encouragement to broaden perspectives on strategic academic fields with strong future workforce demand. Introducing study fields that may still be unfamiliar to students was also highlighted as a shared priority.

The meeting further emphasized the value of campus exploration activities such as open house participation, as well as the dissemination of information regarding educational support opportunities for prospective students. SMAN 1 PPU expressed hope that communication and educational collaboration with ITK will continue, providing tangible benefits in preparing students for their academic journeys ahead.

This audience session not only functioned as a platform for information exchange but also reflected a shared commitment to enhancing access to quality education. Through sustained collaboration, it is hoped that more young people will be empowered to make informed study choices and confidently face future challenges.
