Balikpapan – A proud achievement has once again been made by a student of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK). Na’ilah Indra Wijaya, a Digital Business student from the class of 2024, successfully won 1st Place in the Qualifying Round (BK) of PORPROV VIII East Kalimantan in the Tennis category, organized by the East Kalimantan KONI in Samarinda.

This achievement marks an important step for Na’ilah to advance to the 8th East Kalimantan Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV) in 2026. During the qualifying round, Na’ilah demonstrated outstanding performance through consistent gameplay, well-prepared strategies, and strong physical endurance throughout the matches.

Preparation for the competition was carried out intensively. Na’ilah underwent regular training to improve her tennis techniques, strengthen physical endurance, and refine match strategies. In addition, she also prepared mentally to maintain focus and confidence when facing opponents on the court.

According to Na’ilah, participating in sports competitions provides valuable experiences that not only develop physical abilities but also build character traits such as discipline, hard work, and perseverance. For her, this qualifying round was an opportunity to prove her abilities while preparing herself for a larger competition at the provincial level.

“This qualifying round is the first step for me to compete in PORPROV VIII 2026. I want to give my best performance and hope to bring pride to my region and my campus,” she said.

She also hopes that her achievement can inspire other ITK students to participate in various competitions, both academic and non-academic. According to her, competitions are important platforms for developing potential, gaining experience, and bringing honor to the university.

This achievement proves that ITK students are capable of excelling not only in academics but also in sports. With strong determination and dedication, ITK students continue to contribute positively and bring pride to the university in various competitions.
