Samarinda, 22 April 2026 - Basic Training for Civil Servant Candidates (Latsar CPNS) is an essential stage in shaping professional, integrity-driven, and service-oriented state civil apparatus. This program aims to instill core civil service values such as accountability, nationalism, public ethics, quality commitment, and anti-corruption, while also enhancing participants’ technical and managerial competencies as preparation for their roles in their respective institutions.
In the implementation of Latsar CPNS Batch II, Class IV, Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) sent a total of 20 participants. However, one participant was unable to attend due to maternity leave, resulting in 19 active participants throughout the training program.
The training was conducted at the Center for Public Service Policy Learning and Strategy (Pusjar SKPP), National Institute of Public Administration (LAN) Samarinda, using a blended learning approach. The program began with online (distance learning) sessions from 20 January to 14 April 2026, followed by classical (offline) in-person sessions from 15 to 22 April 2026 in Samarinda.
The results achieved by ITK participants in this Class IV training were highly commendable. All 19 participants successfully passed the program. Notably, two participants earned top distinctions:

Furthermore, Alvian Kristian Sumual was selected as a representative of participants from Classes III and IV to deliver impressions and reflections during the closing session. He was also awarded the “Most Popular Participant” title, highlighting his strong communication skills and active engagement throughout the training.
This achievement reflects Institut Teknologi Kalimantan’s strong commitment to developing high-quality human resources who are ready to contribute to national development. Through Latsar CPNS, participants are not only equipped with knowledge and skills but also with fundamental civil service values that serve as the foundation for carrying out their duties as professional and integrity-driven public servants.
