Samarinda, September 9-10, 2026 — Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) conducted a series of training sessions as part of the ITK 2026 Work Meeting (Raker) from September 9–10, 2026. The activity served as part of the preparations for the ITK 2026 Work Meeting, which carries the theme “Transforming Governance and Leadership to Strengthen Adaptive, Accountable, and Sustainable ITK Development.”

The training was attended by all Raker participants, who were divided into several groups. Each group received different materials based on specific discussion focuses, using a combination of presentations and interactive discussions with facilitators.

On the first day, Wednesday (9/9), participants received sessions on Leadership, Concepts and Implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and “Introduction and How Do I Serve? From My Job to My Client.” The sessions were facilitated by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Ir. R. M. Rustamaji, M.T., IPU., Prof. Ir. Leni Sophia Heliani, S.T., M.Sc., D.Sc., IPU, and Prof. Dr. Ir. IIIah Sailah, M.S.

The following sessions covered Risk-Based Management in Higher Education, Curriculum, and “Integrated Service, Governance, Risk, and Quality: My Service is Part of University Quality.” These discussions provided participants with perspectives on the importance of integrating service, governance, risk management, and quality assurance in higher education management.

In the evening, the training continued with sessions on Good University Governance (GUG), Assessment, and “From Service to Service Culture.” The three topics formed part of the participants’ learning on higher education governance and the development of a service-oriented culture within the institution.

On Thursday morning (10/9), participants continued the training with discussions on the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). The materials were divided into several focus areas, including SPMI covering research and community service (PPkM) and human resources, facilities and infrastructure, partnerships, and finance, as well as Educational SPMI.

The training then continued with materials on the External Quality Assurance System (SPME), particularly the procedures and criteria of the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (LAM Teknik) and their relationship with SPMI. This session aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of higher education quality assurance mechanisms.

Through the series of training sessions, participants gained diverse insights into leadership, governance, service, risk management, and quality assurance systems. The activity served as one of the key stages in the ITK 2026 Work Meeting series before the main Work Meeting agenda commenced on Thursday afternoon.
