Balikpapan - Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) has once again been appointed as one of the official venues for the 2026 Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) under the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) pathway. Out of 74 state university UTBK centers across Indonesia, ITK is the only UTBK center located in Balikpapan.

The 2026 UTBK-SNBT at ITK will be held over six days, from 21 to 26 April 2026. The examination sessions will take place daily from 06.30 a.m. to 05.30 p.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA). This year, a total of 4,745 participants are registered to take the UTBK at ITK. The examinations will be conducted in 12 sessions across 11 examination rooms.

The examination venues are located in several buildings within the ITK campus, namely the Library Room in Building A, Integrated Laboratory Building 1, and Integrated Laboratory Building 2.

The Coordinator of the 2026 UTBK at ITK, Ir. Muhammad Ridho Dewanto, S.T., M.T., stated that ITK has made various preparations to ensure that the examination is conducted in an orderly, secure, and smooth manner.

“On the first day of the 2026 UTBK-SNBT implementation, we hope that all activities will run smoothly without significant obstacles. ITK is committed to providing the best service for participants while ensuring that the selection process is conducted honestly, orderly, and fairly,” he said.

He added that ITK is also strengthening its supervision system to prevent any form of cheating during the examination.

“To maintain the integrity of the UTBK implementation, we are applying stricter supervision through the use of metal detectors, two-layer inspections, and strict control of personal belongings brought into the examination rooms. Neither invigilators nor participants are allowed to bring prohibited items into the examination rooms,” he explained.

Ridho also conveyed his message to all participants taking the UTBK at ITK.

“We would like to wish all participants the very best. Stay calm, be confident, and do your best in answering the questions. We hope the entire process runs smoothly and that all participants achieve their best results,” he said.
