Balikpapan – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) is ready to participate in the Indonesian Higher Education Summit (KPPTI) 2026, scheduled for 10–13 November 2026 at Universitas Airlangga (Unair), Surabaya. This national forum will bring together higher education institutions and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and address community needs.

KPPTI 2026 carries the theme “Transforming Higher Education for Impact: Integrating Technology and Local Wisdom through Inclusive and Humanistic Approaches.” The theme highlights the importance of technological development and respect for local wisdom in ensuring that higher education delivers meaningful benefits to society.

At least 1,500 participants are expected to gather at Unair’s MERR-C Campus. They will represent public and private universities, higher education institutions administered by ministries and government agencies, international universities, industry, regional higher education service institutions (LLDikti), associations, the Indonesian diaspora, students, and international partners.

For ITK, the summit offers an opportunity to exchange ideas, expand networks, and explore potential partnerships. Discussions on technology, inclusivity, and local wisdom are also relevant to the development of education, research, and community engagement in Kalimantan.

Participants can access the full KPPTI 2026 programme here to plan their attendance.
