SMK 1 Balikpapan successfully hosted the Edufair and Talkshow SMAKENZA, attracting the attention of students from grades 10 to 12. One of the most anticipated events was the Talkshow featuring ITK (Institut Teknologi Kalimantan) as the sole speaker. This event was part of the SPIRIT ITK series, aimed at providing students with in-depth information about higher education at ITK.
This event was not just about one university but also served as a platform for introducing various higher education institutions to students. Many prestigious universities joined the Edufair, making the event more vibrant and providing students of SMK 1 Balikpapan with a wide range of information about their future educational opportunities.
During the Talkshow, ITK had the chance to introduce the main admission pathways available for prospective students. These include three key entry routes: SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement), SNBT (National Selection Based on Test), and SUMMIT (ITK Entrance Selection). The event provided detailed explanations about the requirements and processes for each of these pathways, helping students understand their options for applying to ITK.
The students' enthusiasm was clearly visible as they eagerly asked questions about the available study programs at ITK and the campus facilities. These questions showed that the students of SMK 1 Balikpapan were not only interested in the admission pathways but also wanted to know more about campus life at ITK.
This event was one of the key objectives of SPIRIT ITK—to provide students with sufficient information so they can make informed decisions when choosing their future academic paths. It gave them a clear understanding of what to expect during their university years and how to better prepare for their future.
Overall, the Edufair and Talkshow SMAKENZA, attended by ITK, was a positive step in helping students prepare for their journey into higher education. With the presence of various universities and the opportunity to directly engage with ITK representatives, the students of SMK 1 Balikpapan gained valuable insights that will guide them in making their next educational decisions.
