Four ITK Students Qualify Through PEKSIMIDA, Advance to PEKSIMINAS XVIII 2026

Balikpapan - Four students from Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) successfully qualified through the 2026 East Kalimantan Regional Student Art Week (PEKSIMIDA). This achievement allows all four ITK representatives to represent East Kalimantan at the 18th National Student Art Week (PEKSIMINAS) in 2026.

The four students advancing to the national level are:

  1. Marsha Ayu Putriawan Iskandar from the Faculty of Industrial Technology Engineering (FRTI) in the Playwriting category; 
  2. Fauziah Yasmin from the Faculty of Sustainable Development (FPB) in the Comic Strip category; 
  3. Fadhil Sofyan Muzakky from the Faculty of Industrial Technology Engineering (FRTI) in the Male Dangdut Singing category; and 
  4. Zaskia Alifya Rabbani from the Faculty of Sustainable Development (FPB) in the Painting category. 

Before competing at the regional level, the four students underwent an internal selection process at ITK. They later competed against representatives from various universities across East Kalimantan during PEKSIMIDA. Through their outstanding performances and creative works, all four ITK representatives secured their places at the national competition.

PEKSIMINAS XVIII is scheduled to take place from 8 to 12 September 2026 at the University of Jember, East Java, with the East Java Student Arts Development Board serving as the host. The event will bring together outstanding students from across Indonesia to compete in various fields of art.

This accomplishment is a proud achievement for ITK and demonstrates that its students excel not only in science and technology but also possess strong talent and creativity in the arts.

ITK extends its appreciation to the four students for their dedication and achievements in reaching the national level. Support and encouragement are expected to motivate them to deliver their best performances and proudly represent both ITK and East Kalimantan at PEKSIMINAS XVIII 2026.
