Balikpapan – The Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK), through its Bureau of Academic and General Affairs (BAU), once again organized the Community Healthy Living Movement (GERMAS) for educational staff on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Ground Floor Hall of Building A ITK, in front of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Cooperative.
The activity, which started at 07:30 WITA until completion, was attended by more than 50 educational staff and employees of ITK. The event was lively and filled with enthusiasm as participants actively took part in various health and fitness activities.
During this GERMAS program, participants joined the Ling Tien Kung exercise session, which was led directly by the Rector of ITK, Prof. Agus Rubiyanto, as the instructor. With great enthusiasm, Prof. Agus guided each movement, creating an energetic atmosphere while strengthening camaraderie among staff members.
Ling Tien Kung is a therapeutic exercise consisting of slow body movements that focus on breathing techniques, internal energy activation, and organ stimulation. The exercise aims to activate the body's energy points or internal heat, helping to improve blood circulation, maintain physical fitness, and support overall health.
This GERMAS activity was conducted not only to improve physical well-being but also as an effort to foster a healthy lifestyle culture within the campus environment. In addition, the event served as an opportunity to strengthen relationships and enhance solidarity among ITK educational staff and employees.
Through this initiative, ITK continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting healthy living practices while creating a healthy, productive, and harmonious work environment. It is expected that GERMAS activities will be carried out regularly to further improve the health and productivity of the entire ITK academic community.
