Tenggarong - Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) took part in Campus Fair Kutai Kartanegara 2026, held on August 8–9, 2026, at Simpang Odah Etam, Tenggarong. Carrying the theme “Langkah Menuju Kampus Impian; Step Forward to the Future,” the event provided students in Kutai Kartanegara with an opportunity to explore various higher education options and prepare for the next stage of their academic journey.
Campus Fair Kukar 2026 brought together universities from both within and outside Kalimantan. The event featured education exhibitions, university presentations, educational and motivational talk shows, sharing sessions with students and alumni, scholarship information, and education consultation services.
ITK’s participation was part of its effort to bring access to higher education information closer to the community, particularly junior high school and senior/vocational high school students in Kutai Kartanegara. Through direct interaction at the exhibition area, students were able to learn more about university life and explore study options that matched their interests, abilities, and future plans.
ITK was represented by Febrian Dedi Sastrawan, S.Si., M.Sc., Lecturer of the Physics Study Program; Himawan Wicaksono, S.ST., M.T., Lecturer of the Biomedical Engineering Study Program; as well as Saputro Dewo Santoso, S.Sn. and Nurhidayatur Rozikin from the ITK Public Relations Team.
The involvement of lecturers and ITK’s Public Relations Team provided visitors with a more comprehensive source of information. Students were able to gain insights into academic life and specific fields of study directly from lecturers, while also receiving general information about ITK from the Public Relations Team.
More than just a place to gather university information, Campus Fair Kukar 2026 also offered an interactive atmosphere through talent and interest sessions, games, entertainment, and discussion spaces. This concept allowed students not only to visit university booths, but also to gain an early understanding of the educational pathways available to them after graduating from school.
The event was also part of the Kutai Kartanegara Regency Government’s efforts to broaden students’ understanding of universities, admission pathways, academic programs, scholarships, and other forms of educational support. Direct interaction between universities and students was expected to help participants obtain clearer information before making important decisions about their future studies.
For ITK, participating in Campus Fair Kukar 2026 was an important opportunity to continue engaging more closely with the younger generation of Kalimantan. The journey toward higher education does not begin only when students submit an application, but when they receive accurate information, recognize their own potential, and gain the confidence to plan their future.
Through this event, ITK continued to promote the belief that higher education can become a space for young people to develop knowledge, character, and competencies that will enable them to contribute to Kalimantan and Indonesia in the future.
SPECTA! For the Creator and Bumi Etam!
