Balikpapan - Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) is hosting the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of the Forum of Heads of Bureaus/Directors of General Affairs, Human Resources, and Finance of State Universities and Polytechnics across Indonesia. The event takes place on June 3–5, 2026, and is attended by 93 participants from approximately 58 state universities and polytechnics across Indonesia.

The forum serves as a meeting platform for leaders and administrators in the fields of general affairs, human resources, and finance within state higher education institutions. It provides an opportunity for participants to share experiences, strengthen coordination, and discuss current issues related to human resource management in higher education.

The series of activities began with the arrival of participants on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The main agenda was held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the ITK campus, starting with participant registration, the opening ceremony, activity report, remarks from ITK leadership, and a group photo session. The atmosphere of the event was warm and collegial, as the forum served not only as a space for formal presentations but also as a place for networking, dialogue, and exchange of ideas among higher education institutions.

During the event, participants attended several sessions featuring speakers from strategic national institutions. The first session discussed Employee Career Development, delivered by Prof. Dr. Ing. Amalia Suzianti, S.T., M.Sc., Acting Head of the Human Resources Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. This session highlighted the importance of structured career development to ensure that employees in higher education institutions can grow in line with organizational needs.

The next session addressed Functional Position Management within State Universities and Polytechnics, presented by Dr. Samsul Hidayat, S.S., M.PSDM, Director of Talent and ASN Career Development at the National Civil Service Agency. This topic is particularly important because functional positions are closely related to competency development, professionalism, and the sustainability of ASN careers in higher education institutions.

The forum also featured a session on the 2026 CPNS Formation, delivered by Abdul Hakim Basyar, S.Si., Expert Staff for Work Culture at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform. Through this session, participants gained insights into policy directions for employee formation, workforce planning, and strategies to meet human resource needs within state universities and polytechnics.

As part of the program, on Friday, June 5, 2026, participants are scheduled to visit Nusantara Capital City (IKN). This visit will provide an opportunity for participants to observe the development of the IKN area firsthand and take part in a discussion with the Nusantara Capital Authority. The agenda is expected to broaden participants’ understanding of the direction of IKN development and open opportunities for higher education collaboration in supporting human resource development, governance, and national development.

As the host institution, ITK warmly welcomes the trust given to organize this national forum. The presence of participants from various campuses serves as an important momentum for ITK to expand its network, strengthen collaboration, and introduce the strategic role of East Kalimantan as a supporting region for IKN.

Through this National Coordination Meeting, ITK hopes that synergy among state universities and polytechnics will continue to grow stronger. This forum also represents a collective step toward building higher education governance that is more adaptive, professional, and ready to respond to institutional transformation in the future.
