On Sunday, October 13, 2024, the Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) solemnly and festively concluded the 17th graduation series. Held at the Auditorium of the Integrated Laboratory Building 1 at ITK, the final day of the ceremony took place from 08:00 to 11:00 WITA and was attended by the entire academic community, graduates' families, and other invited guests.
The three-day series of the graduation ceremony featured a similar structure each day, yet each day had its own unique touch. Not just a formal event, ITK aimed to provide a memorable experience for the graduates and guests alike, offering a variety of artistic performances and special moments during the speeches.
The event began with an enthusiastic address from ITK's Rector, Prof. Dr. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., who encouraged the graduates to continue striving and contributing to the nation. “You are the future of this nation, and ITK is proud to be a part of your journey,” he expressed warmly in his speech.
The next speech was delivered by the best graduate, who expressed deep gratitude to their parents, families, and the lecturers who had guided them throughout their studies. “This achievement is not only ours but also belongs to those who have always supported and prayed for us,” said the graduate, greeted with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
As the excitement peaked on the final day, the atmosphere grew even more lively when ITK's Rector and the Head of the General and Academic Bureau, Mr. Yuspian, S.Sos., M.IR., performed the songs 'Rungkad' and 'Empat Mata.' These songs successfully created a warm and united atmosphere at the end of the event, where the graduates and guests were seen singing along and enjoying the shared moments.
The joy of the final day is hoped to be a sweet memory for the graduates who have undergone a long journey at ITK. “May this memory serve as a source of spirit and inspiration for those who will step into a new world, a real world full of challenges,” added Prof. Agus as he closed the event series.
With deep emotion and joy, ITK's 17th graduation series officially ended. All graduates are expected to bring home not only their diplomas and degrees but also sweet memories and new enthusiasm to begin their next journey. Congratulations to all ITK’s 17th batch graduates!
