Balikpapan – For Dion Prayoga, a 2022 Informatics student at Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), the university experience is not limited to the classroom. His active involvement in student organizations, competency development programs, and various training activities has enabled him to accumulate 19,300 SK2PM points.
During his time as a student, Dion has participated in a wide range of activities, including Generasi Baru Indonesia (GenBI) as a Bank Indonesia Scholarship recipient, the Society of Renewable Energy (SRE) ITK, the Informatics Student Association (HMIF ITK), as well as several national competency development programs such as Bangkit Academy, Coding Camp by DBS Foundation, and IndonesiaNEXT.
One of his most memorable experiences was joining Bangkit Academy 2024 Batch 2 in the Mobile Development learning path, where he graduated with Distinction. He also strengthened his technical competencies through MTCNA and MTCRE certifications, along with various Coding Camp 2025 courses covering programming fundamentals, Git and GitHub, artificial intelligence, data visualization, SQL, Python, and data analysis. According to Dion, these activities provided much more than additional SK2PM points. He gained new knowledge, practical experience, stronger hard and soft skills, and opportunities to build connections with participants from various regions across Indonesia.
However, managing so many activities was not always easy. Academic assignments, organizational responsibilities, and external programs sometimes came at the same time, leaving him feeling overwhelmed and even experiencing burnout. From those moments, Dion learned valuable lessons about time management, responsibility, and setting priorities.
To manage his activities, Dion regularly creates a to-do list and organizes his responsibilities based on their importance and urgency.
“I usually make a to-do list and prioritize tasks based on which ones are the most important and urgent.”
For Dion, collecting SK2PM points is not merely about reaching a number. The 19,300 points he has earned represent a record of learning opportunities, organizational experiences, competency development, and his willingness to keep exploring new challenges throughout his journey as an ITK student.
