On January 24, 2025, the Institute of Technology of Kalimantan (ITK) campus hosted an important national discussion themed "The Urgency of Energy Transition to Prevent Climate Change Impacts." The event was attended by the Vice Chairman of the MPR RI, Dr. Eddy Soeparno, S.H., M.H., along with the Rector of ITK, Vice Rectors, Deans of Faculties, Head of LPPM, and several lecturers who actively participated in the visit.

In his welcoming speech, the Rector of ITK expressed gratitude and pride for the significant visit. "ITK is truly honored and happy to receive the visit of Mr. Eddy as the Vice Chairman of the MPR RI," said the Rector, highlighting the importance of the visit and the opportunity to discuss a critical issue for the nation's future.

During the event, Dr. Eddy Soeparno, S.H., M.H., emphasized the challenges Indonesia faces in moving toward a more sustainable energy future. "Economic growth requires a substantial amount of energy to move forward. However, there is no transition without transmission, as long as the resources are sufficient," Dr. Eddy Soeparno stated.
