ITK Students Achieve Outstanding Success at the 19th Graduation: A Synergy of Intelligence, Innovation, and Dedication

Balikpapan, October 5, 2025 – The Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) has once again made history with the 19th Graduation Ceremony, which not only marked the milestone of graduation but also served as a celebration of outstanding student achievements in both academic and non-academic fields. With the theme “Creativity and Innovation of Youth Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” ITK reaffirmed its commitment to producing graduates who are intellectually excellent, have strong character, and are adaptive to global challenges.

Highest GPA Awardees: Academic Pillars from Three Faculties
Three students achieved remarkable academic success by earning the highest GPAs at both the faculty and institute levels. They became symbols of dedication, discipline, and a love for knowledge.

  • Muhammad Iqbal
    Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTI) – Mathematics
    With a GPA of 3.87, Iqbal was recognized as the Highest GPA Awardee at both the institute level and the Faculty of Science and Information Technology.
  • Arif Al Hikmal
    Faculty of Sustainable Development (FPB) – Environmental Engineering
    With a GPA of 3.82
  • Riola Montissa
    Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology (FRTI) – Information Systems
    With a GPA of 3.77

Non-Academic Outstanding Students: Achievements that Inspire the Nation
In addition to academic excellence, ITK also recognized students who excelled in non-academic fields, including technological innovation, social research, and international exchange programs.

  • Maha Dewa Zulvicar (FSTI – Information Systems)
    This outstanding student has proven that creativity and idea management skills can lead to success in various competitions. He has earned more than 10 national awards, including: First Place in the National Poster Competition themed Students Strategy in Facing the Growth of Science and Technology Era Society 5.0, First Place in the INSPACE Infographic Poster Competition 2022, First Place in the Mathematics Media Creation and Innovation Competition 2022, and First Place in the Creative Video Competition Gedefest 4.0 Bank Indonesia 2023.
  • Ahmad Rusdianto Andarina S. (FSTI – Informatics)
    A young innovator in digital technology, Ahmad has collected eight copyrights and one patent.
  • Puteri Syafqah Rahmadani (FSTI – Electrical Engineering)
    Served as the Ambassador for the MIKTA Inclusive Recovery 2023 Focus Group Discussion and Ambassador of the RU IV Refinery at PT. Kilang Pertamina Internasional.
  • Muhammad Azfa Nugraha (FSTI – Actuarial Science)
    A delegate in the UM6 Student E-Mobility Programme international student exchange program, and Chairperson of the Student Organization in Actuarial Science.
  • Dhivanka Puteri Aziza (FRTI – Chemical Engineering)
    Participant in the international student exchange program between Universiti Brunei Darussalam and ITK.
  • Tjang Meike Theresia Chen (FRTI – Industrial Engineering)
    Participated in an international student exchange program at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and is active in student organizations related to research and industrial innovation.
  • Salma Yanda Asmara (FRTI – Industrial Engineering)
    Represented ITK in an international student exchange program to Malaysia, became a finalist in COFFI 2023, and actively presented at national seminars.
  • Keysha Loelly Andhara S. (FRTI – Industrial Engineering)
    Participated in the International Student Exchange Program at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka and actively engaged in research to optimize industrial systems at ITK.

The XIX ITK Graduation Moment
The 19th ITK Graduation Ceremony witnessed the emergence of a young generation that is not only academically capable but also creative, innovative, and globally competitive. The students’ achievements from attaining the highest GPAs to winning numerous national awards and participating in international programs demonstrate that a spirit of learning, innovation, and leadership can come together to produce tangible results. Their accomplishments are not merely numbers or titles but inspirational stories proving that Indonesia’s youth are capable of transforming ideas into actions and dreams into achievements.
