On December 7, 2024, the series of events for Dies Natalis X ITK reached its peak with the Closing Ceremony held at the Indoor Tennis Court in South Balikpapan. This event marked a meaningful closure, signaling the end of a successful celebration that had been taking place over the past days.
The ceremony began with a speech from the Chairman of the Dies Natalis X ITK Committee, who expressed gratitude to everyone who had participated in the celebration. The atmosphere of camaraderie was further enhanced by a welcoming speech from the Chairman of the ITK Dies Natalis Lecturers Committee. The Rector of ITK also delivered an inspiring address, recognizing ITK's achievements and the spirit of collaboration that had been demonstrated throughout the Dies Natalis activities.
The event continued with a closing speech by the Rector of ITK, inviting all attendees to reflect on ITK’s journey and hoping that the spirit of Dies Natalis would continue to bring progress to both the campus and the surrounding community. The ceremony also featured the Flag-Handover Parade, where students solemnly returned the Indonesian Flag, the ITK Flag, the Tut Wuri Handayani Flag, and the Department Flags to their respective Department Heads, symbolizing closure and respect for the path ITK has taken.
One of the much-anticipated moments was the announcement of the winners of the Scientific & Non-Scientific Competitions and Expo. This event served as an appreciation platform for students who demonstrated creativity and intelligence in various fields. The winners were awarded as a recognition of their dedication to advancing knowledge and the arts.
The event continued with a dance performance from the first-place winner in the Cultural Arts competition, which captivated all attendees and added to the celebration's festive atmosphere. The program concluded with a prayer, led by an ustadz, praying for ITK’s continued blessings and success in the future. A group singing session, guided by the Rector of ITK, further elevated the sense of togetherness and joy.
To close the event, a documentation session captured each significant moment of the Closing Ceremony of Dies Natalis X ITK, preserving these memories for years to come. While the celebration has come to an end, the spirit and memories created during Dies Natalis X ITK will live on in the hearts of all members of the ITK community. This celebration marks an important chapter in the history of ITK, which continues to grow and evolve.
