Samarinda, 8-10 July 2025 – The Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) once again brought honor to its name in the regional sports arena by achieving a proud feat in the KONI-BAYAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2025. This prestigious championship took place at GOR Segiri Bugis and Borneo FC Field, from morning until evening, bearing witness to the perseverance of ITK's young athletes.
This accomplishment was not an overnight success. The ITK team showed extraordinary dedication by undergoing intensive training four times a week for a full four months after the Mayor's Cup Championship. This hard work evidently paid off, as seen in the significant improvement in the team's performance and cohesion.
Two ITK students successfully stepped onto the podium, bringing home medals for their alma mater:
The "KONI Bayan Championship II" is not just a stage for ITK athletes to showcase their abilities; it's also an important event for honing the skills of beginner athletes across early youth, pre-teen, and adult age groups. This tournament is specifically designed to provide much-needed competition experience. By offering broader opportunities for competition, this championship is expected to produce the next generation of regional star athletes, ensuring the continuity of sports achievements in East Kalimantan.
This event served as a crucial platform for ITK students to not only test their abilities but also demonstrate consistency and fighting spirit in the world of competitive sports. More than just winning medals, this participation successfully strengthened team cooperation and directly brought good repute to the campus at the regional level.
May this brilliant achievement serve as encouragement and motivation for all members of the ITK academic community to continue making higher achievements in future competitions.
