Balikpapan – The Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) began 2025 with great enthusiasm through the Rector's New Year Speech activity. The event, attended by all levels of the academic community, was lively and full of camaraderie.

The event opened with captivating light entertainment, namely karaoke performances and Dayak dances. An atmosphere of togetherness and joy was immediately felt from the beginning of the event. The presence of all important elements of ITK, from the Vice Rectors for Academic and Non-Academic Affairs, Heads of Academic and General Bureaus, the Deans and Vice Deans, Heads of Institutions, Heads of UPAs, Heads of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Working Teams, to education staff (tendik) and other lecturers, demonstrated strong solidarity and commitment to ITK's progress.

In his speech, the Rector expressed his pride in all the achievements that ITK had achieved during the 2023/2024 period. He emphasized that ITK had made many brilliant achievements and experienced significant structural changes, namely the establishment of faculties. This announcement was greeted with thunderous applause from all attendees, signifying pride and appreciation for the positive developments that had been achieved.

The Rector's speech not only contained a report of achievements but also an invitation to welcome 2025 with optimism and a new spirit. He invited the entire academic community to continue to innovate and contribute to ITK's progress.

As a closing to the speech and a flashback to ITK's journey during 2023/2024, which was displayed in the form of a recapitulation video, the Rector of ITK invited all attendees to have fun together through the Maumere dance. This invitation was enthusiastically welcomed by all attendees, creating an even more lively atmosphere and strengthening the relationship between the academic community.

The ITK Rector's New Year Speech activity in 2025 ended with a door prize distribution that added to the excitement of the event. Attractive prizes that were prepared were surprises and appreciation for the attendees.
