Balikpapan, April 16, 2025 – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) has once again marked a remarkable achievement in the field of higher education. Three of its flagship undergraduate programs—Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, and Electrical Engineering—have officially obtained “Fully Accredited” status from ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik), an international accreditation agency based in Germany.
The accreditation is valid until September 30, 2029, signifying global recognition of the educational quality, curriculum, governance, and learning processes across the three study programs.
This milestone stands as tangible proof of ITK’s continuous commitment to upholding high standards in higher education—standards that are relevant to global developments and capable of producing competent, competitive graduates both nationally and internationally.
ASIIN is known for its rigorous and comprehensive evaluation of academic programs, especially in the fields of engineering, informatics, and natural sciences. Attaining Fully Accredited status affirms that these ITK programs have successfully met exceptionally high international quality benchmarks.
With this achievement, ITK aims to sustain and further enhance academic quality, expand international partnerships, and inspire other study programs to follow suit. This effort is a vital step in ITK’s broader vision of becoming an Excellent and Internationally Recognized State University.
