Balikpapan - A student of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) has once again made her mark at an international forum. Nadya Azwarelda Haryanto, a student of the Actuarial Science Study Program, Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTI) ITK, was honored to open the U-GO Ambassadors Offsite 2026 held at Rosewood Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In her Opening Speech, Nadya delivered an inspiring message on the importance of creating opportunities for young women to grow as future leaders. She emphasized that young women need access, support, and trust to contribute more broadly, especially in strategic fields such as finance, technology, and community empowerment.

Nadya’s presence at this forum marked a proud achievement. As one of the U-GO Ambassadors from Indonesia, she did not only attend as a participant but also played an active role in bringing Indonesian women’s perspectives before participants, investors, and organizational leaders from various countries.

Nadya is a U-Go Scholarship Awardee through the U-Go x Inotek Foundation program. This program serves as a bridge for female students to develop their potential, expand access to education, and drive positive change for their families and communities. Founded by John Wood, U-Go carries a mission to empower young women to achieve their creative and social goals.

Prior to the main event in Cambodia, Nadya and fellow ambassadors took part in Pre-summit 1 and 2. These preparatory sessions focused on designing and refining the Scholar-led Experience, a forum led directly by scholarship recipients to share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas with global stakeholders.

The U-GO Ambassadors Offsite featured various leadership development agendas, including aligning shared visions and goals, small-group discussions between investors and ambassadors, an introduction to U-GO AI, panel discussions on life lessons, and an interactive dialogue with the founder of U-Go. Through this forum, participants not only built global networks but also strengthened their commitment to creating real impact in their respective communities.

For Nadya, this opportunity became an important platform to broaden her perspective, build international connections, and strengthen her path in actuarial science, finance, and technology. With her aspiration to become a leader in the actuarial field, whether as a CEO or COO, Nadya shows that the courage to take on roles during university can become the beginning of a greater contribution.

This achievement also serves as an inspiration for ITK students to keep seizing opportunities, developing their capacity, and building leadership from an early stage. From the academic environment of ITK to a global forum in Cambodia, Nadya proves that ITK students are capable of bringing ideas, courage, and the spirit of change to the international stage.
