Balikpapan, 14 September 2025 - As part of the 11th Dies Natalis of the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK), themed "One Vision, One Spirit" , the E-Sport Combat 2025: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) event successfully captured the public's attention. This competition was lively and filled with enthusiasm, demonstrating ITK's commitment to supporting talent in the digital and technology fields.
Carrying the theme "Rise of The Nusantara Heroes," the competition served as a platform to foster a competitive spirit and a sense of togetherness among participants from various backgrounds. A total of 32 teams, or approximately 160 people, participated, including junior high school students, high school students, university students, and the general public in East Kalimantan.
The E-Sport Combat 2025 event took place over three days, from September 12 to 14, 2025. The preliminary rounds were held on September 12-13 at the Food Center, Grand City. The atmosphere was filled with cheers from spectators who provided full support to the players. The competition became more intense as top teams began to showcase their amazing strategies and gameplay.
The highlight of the event was the Grand Final on September 14, held at the ITK Labter 1 Building. The room was filled with enthusiasm, with a large screen displaying the matches. The cheers from the crowd and the roaring shouts during major "clashes" in the MLBB arena added to the excitement of the event. This moment transformed the e-sport tournament from just a competition into a form of entertainment that strengthened the bonds among the younger generation.

The prize-giving ceremony was enlivened by speeches from the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Technology, and Industrial Engineering (FSTI), Adi Mahmud Jaya Marindra, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D, who is also the Head of the 11th ITK Anniversary Committee, and Deli Yansyah, S.E., M.Acc., Ak., a representative from the e-sport committee and a lecturer in the Digital Business study program. It is hoped that the E-Sport Combat 2025 will become a regular event in ITK's future anniversary celebrations.
