Balikpapan - A vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere filled the Auditorium Labter 1 of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan on Friday morning (January 30, 2026). The Faculty of Industrial Technology Engineering (FRTI), in collaboration with ITK’s Administrative Affairs, once again organized the Community Movement for a Healthy Lifestyle (GERMAS) through a Zumba Class, inviting the entire academic community to start the year with a fit body and a refreshed mind.
The event was attended by students, administrative staff, and lecturers who enthusiastically moved together following the energetic rhythm of zumba. Led by ZIN Rahma, the morning exercise session served not only as a means to maintain physical health but also as a space to strengthen togetherness across the academic community amid busy daily routines.
In addition to exercising, participants were treated to free nutritious meals as a tangible form of support for a sustainable healthy lifestyle. GERMAS is not merely an invitation to stay active, but also a reminder of the importance of balancing physical activity, proper nutrition, and mental well-being.
One of the participants, Della Aswintha Asdedi (ITK Public Relations Staff), shared her positive impression of the event.
“It was fun and enjoyable, especially because the year started with a GERMAS activity. Hopefully, there will be more activities like this every Friday to help us unwind from our usually busy days,” she said.
Echoing this sentiment, Reo Surya Delma, Head of Subdivision at FRTI ITK, viewed the activity as a simple yet impactful initiative in fostering a healthy working and learning culture on campus.
Through GERMAS Day: FRTI x Administrative Affairs, ITK continues to reaffirm its commitment to creating a campus ecosystem that not only excels academically but also prioritizes the health and well-being of its academic community. It is hoped that similar activities can be held regularly and become a positive Friday routine a healthy pause amid the dynamic academic environment.
