Jakarta - December 4, 2024, Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) has been officially designated as a higher education institution in the Main Cluster for the 2025 Higher Education Clustering. This achievement marks a significant milestone in ITK’s research performance and community service from 2021 to 2023.
The higher education clustering is not solely based on rankings, but rather as an effort to group institutions according to their performance qualifications recorded in the SINTA data. This data includes various indicators such as the number of articles, research, community service, intellectual property, and book publications verified by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM).
With its outstanding performance, Kalimantan Institute of Technology is now part of the Main Cluster, positioning the institution on a strategic path for future research and community service development. This success also opens opportunities for ITK to strengthen collaborations with other higher education institutions, both across clusters and sectors, to enhance the quality of research and public service.
The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology congratulates all higher education institutions that have achieved cluster designations. It is hoped that these results will further encourage universities to improve the quality of research and community service and contribute more to the nation's progress.
This achievement is also expected to serve as a foundation for developing a more focused research roadmap and strategic plans, as well as strengthening synergies among higher education institutions to accelerate the achievement of shared goals in advancing science and technology.
