Balikpapan – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) has once again opened admissions for new students through the 2026 SNBT-UTBK pathway. This year, ITK offers 25 undergraduate study programs with a total of 1,307 seats for prospective students.

Located in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan, ITK continues to provide study program options that are relevant to regional and national development needs, particularly in supporting the ecosystem of science, technology, and engineering in eastern Indonesia.

Based on the 2025 applicant data, several study programs at ITK show a relatively high level of competition. Safety Engineering recorded the highest competition, with 516 applicants for 50 seats, or approximately 10.32 applicants per seat. This was followed by Industrial Engineering with a ratio of around 8.92:1, Mechanical Engineering at 6.14:1, Environmental Engineering at 5.76:1, Digital Business at 5.11:1, and Informatics at 4.58:1.

As for Marine Systems Engineering, Marine Transportation Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering, the 2025 applicant data has not yet been listed, so their competitiveness cannot yet be compared.
