BALIKPAPAN – Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), in collaboration with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), held Seatrans Super Sailing 2026 under the theme “Navis Futuri: Anchoring Knowledge, Steering the Future of Maritime Industry.” The event served as a platform for knowledge and experience sharing between the academic communities of ITK and ITS, while strengthening perspectives on maritime education and the future development of the maritime industry.

Held at the Auditorium of Building A, ITK, the event began with participant registration, an opening ceremony, the singing of Indonesia Raya and the ITK March, followed by a prayer. The agenda continued with welcoming remarks from ITK delivered by Harlian Kustiwansa, S.T., M.T.

The main session featured presentations from several study programs closely related to the maritime sector. Husein Syahab, S.T., M.T. introduced the Naval Architecture program, followed by a presentation on Marine Transportation by Cindy Lionita Agusty, S.T., M.T., and Marine Engineering Systems by Fernanda Wahyu Pratama, S.T., M.T. Through these sessions, participants gained broader insights into academic fields, learning opportunities, and competency development within the maritime sector.

The event also highlighted student participation through presentations by HIMANAVAL-ITK and students from the Marine Transportation program at ITS. Their involvement created opportunities to exchange experiences related to student activities, academic environments, and competency development in maritime studies.

The program continued with an interactive discussion session, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers. Participants later joined a campus tour of ITK’s Integrated Laboratory, providing them with a closer look at facilities supporting learning, research, and other academic activities.

Through Seatrans Super Sailing 2026, the collaboration between ITK and ITS is expected to broaden academic networks while encouraging younger generations to contribute to the advancement of Indonesia’s maritime sector. The theme, “Anchoring Knowledge, Steering the Future of Maritime Industry,” reinforces the importance of knowledge, collaboration, and innovation as key foundations for shaping the future of the national maritime industry.
