ITK and Kominfo Strengthen Digital Competencies of Vocational Graduates Through VSGA Certification

Balikpapan, July 2, 2025 – The Faculty of Science, Technology, and Industry (FSTI) at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK), in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfodigital) through the Human Resources Development and Research Center (BPSDMP) Kominfo Banjarmasin, successfully held the Vocational School Graduate Academy (VSGA) Competency Certification Program. The event ran smoothly on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the ITK campus.

This important activity was officially opened by Mr. Yuspian, S.Sos., M.I.R., Head of Academic and General Affairs at ITK, and Mr. Syarifuddin, S.Sos., M.A., Head of BPSDMP Kominfo Banjarmasin, Ministry of Communication and Digital. The presence of both leaders underscored the strong commitment from their respective institutions to supporting the improvement of human resources in the digital sector. The opening ceremony was expertly guided by Ms. Irma Fitria, S.Si., M.Si., as the moderator.

As a tangible form of commitment and collaboration, the event also included the signing of an Implementation of Arrangement (IA) between ITK and BPSDMP Kominfo Banjarmasin. This IA signing serves as a strong foundation for continued cooperation in developing digital competencies for vocational graduates, ensuring they are ready to face the challenges of the digital era. This historic moment was also captured in a joint photo session filled with camaraderie.

The series of activities concluded with the competency certification exam for all VSGA program participants. This exam was conducted simultaneously in classrooms well-prepared by the FSTI ITK committee team. The exam was the culmination of a series of training sessions attended by participants, testing their skills and readiness to enter the digital workforce.

It is highly hoped that all participants of this certification program will achieve the best results, enabling them to be even more ready and competent to compete in the rapidly evolving digital world. The collaboration between ITK and Kominfo is expected to continue in producing excellent digital talents in Indonesia.
