The Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) has implemented stricter screening procedures for the 2025 Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) as part of its commitment to creating a safe, comfortable, and fair testing environment.

From early morning, all participants were required to go through an initial registration process. During this stage, identity documents and required paperwork were thoroughly checked. Additionally, all personal belongings were inspected to ensure that no unauthorized devices or tools that could be used for cheating were brought into the venue.

After registration, participants proceeded to Screening Room One, a secondary inspection area where more detailed checks were carried out. Examination staff carefully inspected participants' clothing, accessories such as safety pins on headscarves, ears, and eyeglasses. This was done to prevent any hidden communication devices or tools that could potentially compromise the integrity of the exam.

ITK emphasized that this effort reflects the institution’s firm stance on maintaining a fair and honest UTBK process. With tighter supervision in place, the university hopes to prevent any form of cheating that may have occurred in previous years.

This preventive measure serves as a model, highlighting that administering the UTBK is not only about technical readiness, but also about fostering a culture of honesty among Indonesia’s future university students.
