Balikpapan, 8 August 2026 — Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) continues to strengthen its collaboration with the industrial sector through the inauguration of the KIDECO Corner, located in Building B of ITK. The initiative represents a form of support for the development of the academic environment and the utilization of technology within the university, particularly at the Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTI) ITK.

The event began with the arrival of invited guests and seating arrangements, followed by an opening ceremony led by the master of ceremonies. The event continued with remarks from the Rector of ITK, who expressed appreciation for the support and collaboration established between ITK and KIDECO.

The event then proceeded with remarks from KIDECO as a partner in the establishment of the KIDECO Corner. The facility is expected to contribute to efforts to support learning activities, competency development, and the utilization of technology within the university environment.

The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the KIDECO Corner and the server for FSTI ITK. During the ceremony, KIDECO also presented a scale model to ITK as a symbol of the support and collaboration between the industrial sector and the higher education institution.

The KIDECO Corner is expected to serve not only as a physical facility but also as a space that supports academic activities, collaboration, and student innovation. Meanwhile, the server support for FSTI ITK is expected to strengthen information technology infrastructure in supporting educational and academic activities.

The event concluded with a group photo session involving all invited guests and stakeholders. Through the establishment of the KIDECO Corner and the provision of technological infrastructure, ITK and KIDECO are expected to continue expanding their collaboration and creating meaningful contributions to the advancement of education, technology, and human resources development in East Kalimantan.
